Once this is done, you can indicate where you want to kick the ball. If you kick underneath it, the ball will go higher. If you kick it on the side, the ball will have some spin, which is great for getting around the defenders. As you progress, you'll also have to pass the ball to other players, and so on.

Between matches, you can customize your team, sign athletes, take a look at your statistics, change sponsors, and so on. To carry out almost all of these actions, you'll need coins. Coins are earned by winning matches and meeting the objectives of your sponsors.
